A minute with Folio.
This silent, captioned screenshot walkthrough shows actual Folio Local 1.0 screens and sample output. Records are fictitious. It is not a live screen recording.
- 00:00–00:10 — Your billing, on your computer. Folio Local is an offline invoice and quotation manager for Linux x86-64. Start from an overview of documents and balances.
- 00:10–00:20 — Start with a quotation. Keep a customer and line items in one place. Issued quotations can become invoice drafts without retyping the work.
- 00:20–00:30 — Record what was paid. Review invoice totals, record received payments and reverse mistakes with a reason. Recording does not transfer funds.
- 00:30–00:40 — Generate a PDF locally. Download an A4 invoice or quotation, then share it yourself. No external PDF service or automatic email is used.
- 00:40–00:50 — Keep a recovery plan. Download full database backups and restore validated copies. Databases and backups are not encrypted by Folio; keep off-device copies.
- 00:50–01:00 — Check your Linux setup. Verified on Linux Mint 22.3 x86-64, glibc 2.39 and Chromium 151. Bundled runtime, no Python installation. $39 one-time purchase on Gumroad.
